The Ohio Department of Health rescinded their mandates requiring mandatory use of face coverings for all vaccinated individuals in indoor or outdoor settings, allowing businesses to implement their own mandates. The Cleveland Clinic, based on CDC guidelines pertaining to healthcare environments, continues to screen all patients, visitors, and caregivers, and require face mask, even for those fully vaccinated. Given our location on the Clinic campus and out of an abundance of care for our guests, we will require all guests to wear a face covering while in public spaces of the hotel. Our public spaces include the hotel lobby, restaurants, elevators, and guest floor hallways. For Private Event Space, not in public areas noted above, while we continue to encourage the use of face coverings where social distancing is not feasible, fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to wear face coverings. Unvaccinated guests will still be required to wear face coverings. This will be based on an honor system - guests will not have to show proof of vaccination.
